Hey there! I’m Samarth, a recent College of Engineering graduate from The Pennsylvania State University. I’m also a landscape and nature photographer on the side.

Aside from my technical work as a Computer Science major, I’m a pretty avid hobby photographer. If you’ve gotten here, you’ve probably already seen most of my published body of work. But those just scratch the surface.

A large reason why I created this site in addition to publishing my photos on Unsplash is because I want to add a personal background to my pictures. They tell their own stories, but I want to talk about the details of why I set up a shot, what it meant to me, and how I would improve it (because hindsight is great!).

I’m more than happy to do a photoshoot for you if you find yourself in Chicago. If you’re a beginner photographer or would like to get into photography, I’d also love to help you learn more, and you’re welcome to join me as I visit places and events looking for my next favorite shot! Photography is one of those hobbies (or heck, careers) that stays with you for a lifetime, and there’s always something new to try or learn.

All of my photos are uploaded to my Unsplash page, which is the best place to grab full resolution versions of anything you see here. I don’t require attribution, but I do greatly encourage and appreciate it!
